ABSTRACT

The objectives of this study was to develop the ‘SDLA Test(Self-Directed Learning Ability Test)’. Based on the precedent studies, three domains were identified and three variables per each domain were selected. First, cognition, meta-cognition, and problem-solving were important variables in cognitive domain. Second, the affective domain includes intrinsic motivation, future-oriented motivation and self-efficacy. Third, seeding assistance, physical environment management, and time management were included in the behavioral domain. After developing this test and identifying its validity, the SDLA Test could be taken in all ages from elementary school students even to adult learners.
